Intuitive story, great sound design, definitely a creepy monster, yet the game wasn't great due to some bugs and the abrupt ending.
Game Jams entries always surprise me, because developers make such good games in a very short amount of time and with limitations. Great job on that. Although, I would appreciate to have a proper ending next time, at least a screen that says "end game", because shutting down the application isn't a great choice. I didn't like that at all. Otherwise, not a bad game.
Hey there, thanks for making a video! It looks like you played the version with a few bugs. I uploaded a fix this morning! The ending is the next thing I need to work on since I ran out of time during the game jam :)
It's a pretty fun game! I really like the small details such as the monster becoming a ragdoll when killed and being able to dynamically move the door with the mouse, which is something I haven't seen before :) It's also really cool to see that you used some of my assets! If you have trouble with the way your flashlight works, I suggest you to check out my Unity flashlight controller, it might come handy. I also seem to not able to enter the kitchen, there might be a box collider misplaced. About the level design, I think it would be quite cool to have a more complex building layout and more variations of different props placed around! :) For instance you could have more different kinds of doors (that doesn't have to lead somewhere, it would give an illusion that there's more area to be explored). I hope to see new updates!
Thanks for trying out the game and the feedback! I just added you to the description so others can find your work, I really liked your style! I'll check out the flashlight controller as well. Adding a more complex layout is next on the list, I just ran out of time last night :)
